TWO OUT OF THIRTEEN "2009 OUTSTANDING SAN PABLENOS"
ARE MALINAW LODGE NO.25 MEMBERS
 
 
SAN PABLO CITY - Broadcaster Rodrigo “Jiggy” D. Manicad Jr. of GMA Network lead this year awardees in the selection of “The Outstanding San Pableņos” chosen to help commemorate the 69th Founding Anniversary of the City of San Pablo. He was chosen for his activities in the field of Media.

Commonwealth Act No. 520 granting City Charter to then prosperous town of San Pablo was approved by President Manuel Luis Quezon on May 7, 1940, and was formally inaugurated on January 2, 1941 with Interior Secretary Rafael Alunan inducting the first set of city officials led by former Laguna Governor Potenciano Malvar as appointed City Mayor.

In the announcement made by City Administrator Loreto “Amben” S. Amante, chairperson of the Executive Committee that manages the commemoration of the 69th Foundation Day of the City, other awardees who will be formally honored by the community during the formal dinner/meeting of the city officials with community leaders at the Palmera Resort and Restaurant at Barangay San Rafael this coming Thursday, May 7, 2009 are (2) Dr. Alexander C. Cortez for Theater Arts; (3) Mrs. Perla Dizon-Escaba for Business; (4) Engr. Maximo E. Daquil for Business/Industry; (5) Mr. Ramon Go Bun Yong for Civic and Humanitarian Affairs; (6) Dr. Lilia T. Reyes for Education; (7) Mr. Joselito D. Follosco for Government Service; (8) Mr. Rodrigo B. Supeņa for Banking and Accountancy; (9) Dr. Godehardo G. Raymundo for Health Services; (10) Atty. Antonio D. Lacsam for Law; (11) Court of Appeal Justice Celia Librea-Leagogo for Judiciary; (12) Engr. Bernardo Capiņa Adriano Jr. for Science and Technology and Civil Engineering; and (13) Mr. Blairwin Angelo M. Ortega for Youth and Sports (Shooting).

It can be recalled that when the City of San Pablo commemorated its 50th Charter Anniversary on May 7, 1990, among “The Outstanding San Pableņos (TOSP)” chosen by a award committee chaired by RTC Judge Bienvenido V. Reyes and City Prosecutor Leon M. de Villa were U. E. President Conrado P. Aquino for Education; Dean Bartolome Carale for Law and Legal Education; Retired City Engineer Guillermo P. Inciong for Engineering; Commodore Rogelio A. Dayan for Military Science, Baseball Pitcher Johnny “Lefty” Briones for Sports; Local Civil Registry Office Clerk Felipe Caro for Government Service; and Public Information Officer Ruben E. Taningco for Journalism;

When San Pablo celebrated its 53rd Charter Anniversary, on May 7, 1992 and Mayor Vicente B. Amante initiated the Don Tomas D. Dizon Statemanship Award, in honor of the author of Commonwealth Act No. 520, chosen to received the honors was RTC Executive Judge Bienvenido V. Reyes. Merit awards were given to Dr. Juan B. Hernandez for hometown history, Dr. Vidal Raymundo for medical practice; and Lion Eduardo Lim for community services and entrepreneurship. Reyes is the co-chairperson of the 2008 Awards Committee.

Last awardees were Dean Palermo A. Baņagale for Accountancy; Plant Propagator Renato A. Belen for Agriculture; CHED Regional Director Amelita A. Biglete for Education; Supreme Court Justice Arturo D. Brion for Government Service; Court of Appeal Justice Rodrigo V. Cosico for Law and Judiciary; Olympic Swimmer Marie-Lizza Toinette Frias Danila for Sports; SPC Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Plaridel G. dela Cruz for Business; Association of Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines President Danilo D. MR.JOSELITO FOLLOSCO-GOVERNMENT SERVICE
 

                                       Mr. Follosco was born in Nabua, Camarines Sur in June 19, 1949 and is now a resident of Farconville Subd.; He is married to businesswoman Ms. Remy Convenido; the father of 6 children namely, Christine, Christian, Joan, Jose mario, Charissa, and Joselito Jr.

He is a Past District Deputy Grand Master of the Free and Accepted Masons; past director of the Rotary Club of Silangan San Pablo; and at present acting as President of the Free Wheeling Club of Nabua.

He was a consistent Valedictorian in elementary and high school in Nabua, Camarines Sur where he was born; finished his college degree at San Beda College; post-graduate course at the UP School of Economics with his Master in Development Economics.

He also had various trainings in financial management and public expenditure management and has worked with the Department of Labor as statistician and is currently working with the Dept.of Budget and Management at Malacaņang, Manila as Chief Budget Specialist.
 
 
 
ATTY.ANTONIO ESTRELLADO LACSAM-LAW
                                                                                                                                                                                           
Atty. Lacsam was born in San Pablo City on June 20, 1929 and finished his elementary education at Sta. Cruz (Putol) Elem, School; high school at the Laguna College, and his Associate in Arts and Law degree at the San Pablo Colleges as a scholar in 1959.

Among his outstanding achievements is his 45 years of legal counseling work on rural and commercial banks and the general public; being President of the Integrated Bar, Laguna Chapter and the San Pablo Bar Association. He was also awarded the Ginintuang Parangal sa Karunungan sa Batas by the San Pablo City Government

He is a member of the Seven Lakes Lions Club (president for two successive years and became zone chairman for San Pablo); and Past Master of Malinao Lodge No. 25.
 
He is known for his wholesome family relationship, religious and dedicated to family and service; and has observed honesty and good faith professionally.He is married to the former Milagros Cayton and is proud of his four professional children - Beda, Fides, Jose Antonio and Mitos Angela.
